Workplace Violence Prevention

Red-Flag Identification

Huffmaster designs these programs to help identify red-flag occurrences or behavior before it escalates into a violent episode. Our experts teach senior management how to capture these red flags and physically put them into a file to understand if an escalation is happening and what to do as a company or educational institution to prevent further escalation. In addition to teaching senior management, we create a behavior assessment team to recognize red flags and what to do about them. 

Workplace Violence Education

The second part of our program focuses on educating the general population on preventing workplace violence and what their roles and responsibilities are. We understand that employees are often the eyes and ears of the prevention program, so we teach them to recognize escalating situations and report information—while ensuring they’re safe and remain anonymous.

Safety Exercises

The third program phase ensures employees and students know how to conduct themselves to survive a violent incident. People often refer to this exercise as an active shooter situation, but it’s important to note that all violent episodes are not gun-related. Our training covers the principles of violence prevention training, regardless of the weapon involved. We teach people to stay aware of their surroundings, seek cover, know where the exits are, and how to hide smartly or fight in a situation before it worsens.
