Huffmaster Crisis Response is recruiting experienced Laboratory Analysts to work during a possible labor dispute located in Tennessee. This job action could occur as soon as late May or early June of this year.
Pay Rate: $45/hour
Shift Length: 12-Hours
Shift Time: 7PM – 7AM
Weekly Guarantee: 60-Hours (If Ready, Willing, and Able to Work Each Scheduled Shift)
Assignment Commitment: Must have the ability to travel and be away from home for at least 45-days. The exact length of the assignment is unknown.

Basic Requirements:
- 1 Year of Laboratory Analyst Experience Within the Last 5-years
- Health & Wellness End Supplier & Manufacturer Experience Highly Preferred
- Knowledge and Experience in a Laboratory Environment, Preferably a Chemistry Laboratory in the Food Industry
- Use and Maintenance of Laboratory Instrumentation
- Position Involves Bench Work and Process Support Activities
Education Requirements:
- Associate of Science Degree (2-Year Degree), Preferably in Chemistry, Biology or Microbiology

Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
- Must be able to push/pull at least 10 pounds.
- Must be able to stand on feet up to 12 or more hours a day.
- Frequently standing on level concrete and lab floor surfaces, or anti-fatigue mat surfaces.
- Frequently walking on level concrete surfaces and lab floor, anti-fatigue mats; may occasionally be in external environment and conditions.
- Continuous reaching, grasping, and pinching.
- Occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing.
Working/Environmental Conditions:
- Production facility lab environment is climate controlled, but also may have exposures to extreme temperatures and external conditions.
- May be walking through facility where there are moving mechanical parts and mobile equipment.
- Occasional exposure to noise levels requiring hearing protection while in the production area.
- Dust particles and/or soy powder and chemical odors may be present.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Testing soy protein isolate (powder) products.
- Communicate clearly in English, both verbally and written.
- Operate computers to access/utilize company e-mail and to monitor tests.
- Demonstrate awareness of and compliance with all pertinent safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Operate mobile equipment in a safe manner.
- Participate in work related training programs and adhere to Company Core Values.
- Report pertinent information to appropriate company personnel.
- Perform all necessary tests on products according to outlined protocols.
- Activate, de-active, and modify Quality plans.
- Monitor production units.
- Track testing to ensure proper reporting.
- Calibrate and maintain all appropriate equipment.
- Enter pertinent data into the appropriate computer program.
- Cutting bags and collecting samples of soy powder to be analyzed as needed.
- Set up laboratory equipment.
- Calibrate, clean, sterilize, and maintain all appropriate equipment and work areas.
- Prepare samples for testing and analysis.
- Operate and trouble shoot laboratory equipment common to laboratories.
- Weigh, analyze, and measure ingredients used in testing.
- Record and compile test results.
- Enter test results into computerized databases and/or data entry books.
- Train other analysts.
- Perform job duties in a manner that follow food safety and quality guidelines including, but not limited to, HACCP, GMPs, QA Policies, Sanitation, and Pest Control.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
