Huffmaster Crisis Response is recruiting experienced Boiler Operators with a City of Providence Boiler Operator License for a potential labor dispute that could occur at an Acute Care Facility in Rhode Island in mid to late September 2024.
Job Requirements:
- Summary: Maintains, repairs, inspects, and installs steam plant/refrigeration plant machinery and associated equipment.
- Education: HSD/GED
- Experience: 3-Years of Boiler Operator Experience, Preferably at a Healthcare Facility
- Licensure: City of Providence Boiler Operator License (Valid Through 10/31/24)
- Essential Duties/ Responsibilities/ Technical Skills/ Competencies:
- Accurately reads and understands blueprints and drawings.
- Accurately performs layouts in order to optimize installations.
- Accurately performs preventative maintenance tasks in order to prevent unnecessary equipment breakdowns and to prolong the useful life of equipment.
- Correctly operates, maintains, and repairs the chemical water treatment system.
- Correctly operates and maintains for all service calls and pertinent information with regard to the steam plant and chiller plant.
- Effectively utilizes the computerized building management system.
Pay Rate: $65/Hour
Weekly Guarantee: 60-Hours (If Ready, Willing, and Able to Work Each Scheduled Shift)
Shift Length: 12-Hours
Assignment Commitment: Must have the ability to travel and be away from home for at least 45-days. The exact length of the assignment will be determined once the union issues a notice of intent to strike.
