Huffmaster Crisis Response is recruiting experienced Heat Treatment Specialist personnel to work during a possible labor dispute for a aerospace company located in California. This job action could occur end of August 2024.
Pay Rate: $30/hour
Weekly Guarantee: 60-Hours (If Ready, Willing, and Able to Work Each Scheduled Shift)
Basic Requirements:
- 1 Year of Heat Treatment Specialist Experience Within the Last 5-years – OR – 6 Months of Experience Within the Last 3-Years
- Checks incoming materials, identifies and determines proper furnace settings and adjustments according to heat treat specifications.
- Monitors heat treating equipment to assure proper settings and adjustments are maintained.
- Works with appropriate personnel to determine proper heat treat procedure for all materials.
- Records temperature and time cycle data and posts data as per established procedures.
- Moves product or heat-treating supplies within the department or to designated areas of the plant.
- Performs daily maintenance and preventative maintenance on heat treating equipment and other tools and equipment used. Effect minor repairs as necessary.
- Assists with major repairs.
- Visually or with precision measuring instruments, necks product specifications as to tensile strength, shear tolerance, micro hardness etc.
- Performs or direct cleaning operations before, during and after heat-treating.
- Responsible for production quality and quantity within heat treating area.
- Must be willing and able to travel and deploy for a minimum of 45-day
Job Summary:
Operates all of the various types of heat treating equipment, used by the Company, making settings and adjustments as required to obtain correct mechanical properties as specified on material documentation.
