More than 60 years of experience keeping business in business
1963
Huffmaster was founded in 1963 as a private detective agency in Dearborn, Michigan.
1970s
Huffmaster expanded beyond its investigative roots to become a contract security guard provider throughout Metro Detroit. Building on this security expertise, Huffmaster established itself as a trusted strike security provider during union work stoppages.
1980s
After years of helping Midwest companies remain operational through union work stoppages, Huffmaster grew into a nationwide provider of strike security services.
1990s
Huffmaster became the first single-source strike services agency for companies facing union work stoppages, providing contingency planning, security, and the replacement workforce needed to keep operations running during a strike.
2000s
Building on more than forty years of strike expertise, Huffmaster entered the healthcare strike market as the first company to provide both security and the full range of replacement staff needed to keep a healthcare system operating throughout a strike.
2010s
Huffmaster operated as the nation’s only strike services provider serving both industrial and healthcare clients, while applying its core competencies to help organizations navigate natural disasters, staffing shortages, and other crisis-related disruptions.
Today
Huffmaster continues to operate as the only national provider delivering workforce continuity, strike management, replacement staffing, and security services across all industries.
